Terry Powell, President

Mr. Powell is the President of Superior Roofing & Construction, which he established in 1983.  He has twenty years of experience in all phases of roofing, both commercial and residential.
 


Prior to forming Superior Roofing & Construction, Mr. Powell was an officer with Frost National Bank.  During this time, he obtained his BBA degree in Accounting from UTSA in 1981.


Mr. Powell is a member of the local and state chapters of the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas and was formerly a Vice President and Director of the Association.  He is also a member of the Associated General Contractors of Texas and is a Certified Commercial and Residential Roofing Contractor in the State of Texas.

Matt Pauley, Asst. Project Manager
Matt Pauley, Project Manager/Estimator

Mr. Pauley is a recent graduate of The University of Texas at San Antonio, where he received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Kinesiology.


He arrived at Superior Roofing in February of 2008. Prior to joining Superior Roofing, he has worked in and around the construction industry in various fields and positions. At Superior Roofing, Matt is currently a Project Manager and Estimator and manages our Residential division.

Eloy Chavarria, Superintendent
Eloy Chavarria - Purchasing Agent

Experience Summary:

Mr. Chavarria has over 25 years of progressive construction experience with 15 years focused on project management. The last two years as a General Manager overseeing a $3,000,000.00 "LeafGuard" Gutter business, marketing a patented gutter system through a protected dealership agreement. His skills include Sales training, Marketing and Production Management. He was responsible for 40 employees between San Antonio and Austin.

After 9 years of active duty in the Army, Mr. Chavarria became an Army Reservist and was
retrained in the Carpentry and Masonry specialty, where he worked as a civilian for J.W. Smith a
custom home builder as a framing crew member. He framed new construction homes, hung drywall, installed outside cornice trim and custom interior trim.

In addition, his earlier skills included coordinating with several construction trades including Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical and Carpentry for Residential and Commercial projects. He has experience in doing all facets of construction as well as managing large construction projects.

Mr. Chavarria has been working in the commercial and residential Roofing and
Remodeling industry. He has used his vast knowledge of the construction trade to help develop
the sales, production and quality control departments of these companies.

Mr. Chavarria retired from the Army Reserves, with over 24 years in service. He holds a Senior Carpentry Masonry Occupational Specialty. He has managed several, major military
construction projects in the United States and overseas. His last assignment on Active duty was with the HQ's United States Army Facility Engineer Group-Southwest, and served as First Sergeant. He was responsible for the well-being of 80 senior enlisted personnel and senior Officers. He was activated in December 2003 to support the Global War on Terrorism, and was deployed to Taji, Iraq in support of the 1st Cavalry Engineer Brigade for Construction and Repair
of Base Camp quality of life facilities at Camp Taji, a 25,000 man enduring Base Camp and Engineer support for the area of operation. While deployed Mr. Chavarria was awarded the Bronze Star for his outstanding leadership, along with other military accolades. On 1 April 2005 he was deactivated and returned to Reserve Status. He retired from the Army Reserves on November 30, 2006.
