Canyon Lake High School

Comal ISD’s new Canyon Lake High School has 202,800 square feet of built-up roofing and 16,300 squares of metal roofing. US Ply was the built-up manufacturer used and the metal roof was a Berridge Cee-Lock standing seam.

This was the first single-ply roofing system Superior ever did and it is still performing today as intended. Ballasted EPDM isn’t that popular these days, but existing ones can easily be re-roofed at a low cost by just changing out the membrane and re-using the roof insulation and stone ballast.

The Zee-Lock curved metal panels installed on this project were 140’ long each. The installers had to make a “human chain” to get the panels on the roof for installation of the 50,460 square foot project.

This project used multiple roofing products and each of the 22 buildings roofs was unique. The buildings were roofed with Carlisle TPO, Santafe’ tile and Berridge metal panels. The project exceeded 3445 squares and Superior Roofing received a perfect 10 score from Carlisle upon their final inspection.
